The third annual Upper Peninsula Beekeeping Conference has been cancelled.
The event was scheduled for March 28, 2020, at Northern Michigan University’s Seaborg Mathematics and Science Center. Organizers from the Superior Beekeeping Club and partners at NMU have cancelled the event due to concerns about COVID-19/coronavirus and the health and welfare of those registered for and involved with the event. Refunds will be issued to those who have registered for the event. This conference will not be rescheduled. Follow the Superior Beekeeping Club’s Facebook page or check the club’s website (http://superiorbeekeepingclub.weebly.com) for info about future activities.
This is the third year of this conference dedicated to the special challenges of keeping bees in Northern climates. We are happy to offer to our fellow beekeepers this educationally packed day that includes practical beekeeping information from our keynote speaker, Meghan Milbrath. There will be many educational and informative breakout sessions. The conference will have something for everyone not just the beekeeper in mind. Vendors will be on site to meet all the beekeeping equipment needs of our attendees. Lunch will be provided by, Northern Michigan University. Sign Up!
New this year is an optional post-conference session available on Sunday, March 29 (space is limited to 30 participants).
